World MotoGP travels to France this weekend, where, just as Marc Márquez says on his blog, there is a date with history. Le Mans is one of the most important circuits in the calendar and has witnessed some unforgettable moments in the history of this sport. Every year this track hosts some of the most legendary races on the international motor-racing scene, involving both cars and bikes.
The Repsol rider Casey Stoner became the new leader of World MotoGP after winning the Portuguese GP, a race he dominated with authority from start to finish. Dani Pedrosa, was third and got his 100th podium finish of his career.
With hardly any time to rest after the Spanish GP the World Championship moves to the Autódromo in Estoril for the Portuguese GP. The track will receive the Repsol riders in all three classes with Casey Stoner`s victory in MotoGP and the podium finishes for Dani Pedrosa (MotoGP) and Marc Márquez (Moto2) in Jerez fresh in everyone`s mind.
The motorcycle racer from the Repsol team, Casey Stoner, has gained victory at the Jerez circuit in MotoGP, with an exhibition of motorcycle racing being provided by the Australian, who managed to hold off the challenge from Jorge Lorenzo. Dani Pedrosa completed a fine result by also mounting the podium before the Spanish public.
The World Motorcycle Racing Championship makes its European debut this weekend with one of the most exciting events of the year: the Spanish Grand Prix. The stands at the Jerez circuit will once again be packed with some of the most committed fans in the world over three spectacular days.
