Business ethics are forged from the “ethos” or “character” of the company that is defined by the values governing its actions. Transparency refers to the displaying of accounts to all the company’s stakeholders. Both are prior requirements to be able to gain the approval and trust of the company.
Created in 2006, the Ethics Committee oversees compliance with the prevailing regulations in all company spheres.
Repsol plays an active role in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative EITI.
Repsol has rigorous control procedures in place, and has developed a set of internal rules as a regulatory framework for assessing and controlling the risk of in-company corruption.
